Mrs. Samantha McHenry

 

Greetings Sawgrass Bay Families-

As I begin my 16th year in education, I cannot think of a better place to be than here at Sawgrass Bay.  My name is Samantha McHenry, and I will be serving as the VPK, Kindergarten and 1st grade Administrator. My journey to you began in 2005 as I graduated from the University of Wisconsin. I moved to Florida shortly after and pursued my career in teaching.  I truly enjoyed impacting the students in my classroom and I had a passion to impact more. I obtained my Educational Leadership Degree from Capella University so I could continue to work towards my goal of becoming an administrator.  

I currently reside in Clermont with my husband, Chris,  and my two children, Donovan and Finley (and a “wild” kitten named Pip). I enjoy spending time with my family and watching sports.  I am an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and the Wisconsin Badgers.

I already feel so at home with the welcoming staff and families. I look forward to working with you and your children to provide a fun, engaging and rigorous learning experience here at Sawgrass Bay.
